In 2017, Roman Susan director Nathan Abhalter Smith worked with Thomas Kong to create a digital video of 777 select works created by Kong during the summer. This resulting hour-long video was on view at various times during Kim's Corner Food business hours for several years thereafter. When Thomas passed away earlier this year, we were very grateful for the many gifts he left behind, including this snapshot of his daily work.
777 (nine to five) will be on view directly from the street at Roman Susan beginning at sunset around 9 PM, and playing out for an eight-hour shift concluding around 5 AM through July 7, 2023. For remembrances and tributes to Thomas, and an archive of artist projects, please visit thomaskong.biz.
