Containers for Places
1224 W Loyola Ave, Chicago IL
March 13, 2015 – April 2, 2015
Containers for Places evokes playful curiosity through deliberate manipulations of color and surface. Bolinger layers shapes, lines and marks to build and disrupt pictorial illusion. Each painting is a unique dialogue, creating a place that words do not aptly describe.
Michelle Bolinger received an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Washington in 2005. She is an Instructor of Fine Arts at Loyola University, and her paintings are part of the permanent collections of Harold Washington College, King County Washington, and the University of Washington.
